In the meantime…
Dear friends… we are back from our trip to the Basque Country. I already miss it very much.
It has taken me days to recover this time – must be age?
I was looking through the thousands of photos I took (yes, nearly 2,000) and wondering if there was a theme behind them all. I will show you soon. I think you will clearly see it.
But in the meantime I leave you with photos of a recipe I made inspired by a spring-filled dish my aunt and I ate at Boroa a few days ago. Cannot wait to share more.

I can understand well your feelings,Aran! Last October I spent 2 weeks in my country, Brazil. When I left, a piece of my heart stayed there. I still miss my home country, family, and friends. But little by little life takes care of healing — at least a bit– all that we’ve left behind. Think that you enjoyed each precious moment that you spent there with your family and have created beautiful memories… It is good to have you back.

I have been spending Easter with my folks in Hampshire, UK, but I must soon return to my adopted home in Malta. Each time I leave, it gets harder. Yes, it is age, nostalgia for a childhood, missing my elderly parents, the greenery, rivers, smells of spring I can’t get on a small rock. Love your photos of your ur-alt home in the Basque. Keep them coming! It’s an important part of who you are!
