Cherry tomato, prosciutto and ricotta fritatta
I am back from my summer travels to Europe and an amazing workshop in New York. More about those later.
For now, I wanted to share a simple frittata dish with you. I cooked this cherry tomato, prosciutto and ricotta frittata for my friend Jocelyn Casey’s site The Little Room of Style – a little collaboration who have started where I will share some of my favorite breakfast recipes.
I love breakfast and my head is always spinning with new concoctions. Stay tuned.
For the recipe visit Jocelyn’s blog.
I will be back with images from the Basque Country and more.
absolutely gorgeous and delicious!! looks perfect for summer!
Hi Aran! That frittata looks amazing. I will give it a try. I can’t wait to hear from your new project, that breakfast collaboration sounds really good. Your pictures like always are perfects.
Hasta pronto!
Delicious! A wonderful way of combining those ingredients.

Rosa

This looks beautiful – I love frittatas, there is something so simple and yet utterly gorgeous about them. Plus, they’re such an easy meal!
Ah, this looks so delicious. My friend has some cherry tomatoes in her backyard that are growing like crazy. It looks like I will be going over there to grab myself a basketful for this recipe!
xx Erin
You have inspired me for preparing something simple and delicious. It has been ages that I do not make a frittata.
Que pinta tan estupenda, Aran. Siempre es un placer visitar tu blog y disfrutar de tus fotos.
Besitos desde Donosti.

[…] else in my reading list. Mainly because the photography is beautiful and she includes recipes like this one. […]
Aran, I’ve been reading and enjoying your blog for more than 8 months now, and I’m learmning from your food photography approach. However, my day work has been very hectic and I only now could write. I’m currently on a 6 week vacation stay in the South of France, very close to a farmers’ market, enjoying fresh produce every day. Will make this fritatta tomorrow for lunch! I love tortilla style dishes and omelettes! And this one is so colorful and summery!!
Thank you so much!
Que pinta tan estupenda, como siempre. Esta pidiendo comerla, y el plato azul donde lo presentas es una preciosidad, así da tanto gusto venir de visita a tu blog,
Felicidades
Aran, I’m back:-) I did it; used organic goat cheese; fresh and soft (instead of ricotta); also, gave it a little bit of grean by adding basil leaves on the top when serving. Was soo delicious! Simple and memorable meal! A big hit for the family: my child loved it!
Thank you and have a great weekend!
Beautiful photos…looks delish!
I love your style of making. My mouth is wattering.. lol.
Oh my god … This recipe is spectacular!
It’s delicious! And wonderful photos!
We are back from vacation and have smiles at her to see your recipe.
‘Spicy’ greetings
I love frittatas and I cannot wait to try this one! Beautiful pictures as well!
are you really in seattle? I’ve been giving away buckets of plums from my tree – which hasn’t been as lovely an experience as prior years — and I realized: I could bring some to you, if you are in town!!
I live right by book larder!

Wow… that would be so wonderful!!
Gorgeous! It’s things like this that remind me why I’m not trying to go vegan anymore.
Down here in Melbourne, Australia, it’s winter and cold; nice to see some sun blushed tomatoes. Inspiring photographs.
This looks delicious! Beautiful photos!

Lovely. Welcome home!
Looks super tasty…too bad I’m on my juice cleanse right now!!
Aran, loved it. First made it your way, now I’m playing around with other ingredients.
Wonderful and simply delicious!
Yummy frittata!!!! Cheesyyyyy meal, this is what I love the most in a dish. :) Perfect breakfast or dinner!! Beautiful photos, too.
So pretty! We are awash in cherry tomatoes right now, thanks for the reminder to try a frittata instead of my current default omelet.
[…] Of course, if you want all of the above (that would be a gluten-free, meat-friendly main course), why not turn it into a dish you can enjoy at anytime? This cherry tomato, prosciutto, and ricotta frittata fits the bill perfectly: [Canelle et Vanille] […]
Love the color of those tomatoes. Great combination, I think the ricotta will make the frittata. I’m inspired now! Great post.
Hi Aran,
I’m new to your blog – but this looks delicious. My boyfriend is a BIG breakfast lover so I’ll have to try it out on him.

Hi Aran,
I am french and I live now in Australia. I opened 4 months ago a concept-store called French Rendez Vous and I represent only french designers and most of the collection is hand made in France. I recreate a Parisian apartment with a lounge where I offer tea, coffee and french patisserie for my customers. I organize events about french conversation, french fashion, french art de vivre etc … Monthly I want to send a newsletter to my customers and not only about fashion but about books, movies, exhibitions and recipes. And it will be a honor if I can use some of your recipes and photos, with your credit, in these newsletters. It is our fist newsletter.
This is my website http://www.frenchrendezvous.com.au if you want to have a look. Don t hesitate if you have any question.
Thank you.
Looking forward to reading you.
Warm regards
Virginie
