Spring Love

I am afraid I do not have a recipe for you today. It has been a very busy week (sick little boy included), which hasn’t left much time for baking.

I have Spring fever and have been filling my house with color and flowers. I thought I would share this photo I took a couple of days ago. Aren’t ranunculus the most beautiful? Ez thought so too.

I also wanted to tell you about my new crush. I am in love with this book.

Have a great weekend!

I too love ranunculus, and had some on my kitchen table recently…mine were yellow which faded to deep gold and oranges. Even as they fade they remain…

Me parecen unas flores preciosas.

That is a spectacular photograph. Ranuculus are fantastic. Similar to roses, but more elegant in my mind with their graceful stalks and compact petals. This would make a really nice print

When I got married, I wanted peonies for my bouquet, but they weren’t in season. My florist suggested ranunculus, and I absolutely adored them. The petals are so delicate. It has been a favorite flower ever since, though I confess I haven’t even thought of them lately since they surely do not grow near Colorado.
Thank you for such a lovely reminder of them.

  46. Dianne says:

Oh, ranunculus. My very favorite. All those buttery-soft petals, wound around each other. My bridal bouquet was ranunculus, no other flower would do.

And what a gorgeous photo! Nice work!
