A New York Kind of Weekend, Part II
One of the best parts about my weekend in New York is that I got to stay at my friend Deb’s Brooklyn apartment. A charming artist’s apartment with lots of character, a beautiful garden and the cutest little kitties. I am guest blogging for her today while she is away somewhere in Montana (lucky her!). You can see more photos here.
Thank you Deb!
You must’ve spend a wonderful couple of days in NYC. I love this city, and when I see these photographs I love it even more. The pictures are wonderful as always. I wish you all the best for the pregnancy…. I drop over to Deb’s blog…
I just finished recapping my trip to NYC on my blog a few weeks ago!! :)
great blog!!
So beautiful! Just like your blog…
How beautiful! SIGH!
That street reminds me of How Harry met Sally, I think of Meg Ryan!! Why??? Probably she looks as bright and delicate as these pictures:)!
deb truly has a lovely home! her creative spirit is everywhere!
Simply beautiful, as always :)
That first photo makes my heart leap with joy to be visiting NYC soon!
Hi, I enjoy looking at your photo’s and the beautiful things you maken and bake very much! I tried to found out with what kind of camera your are working, but could not find anything…. :( Could you please let me know?
Kind regards from Holland.

Madelief- I shoot with a Canon 50D.
Thanks everyone!
Oh my! What an amazing apartment! Sure to get the creative juices going…I bet that baby of yours will pop out with a head full of ideas!
Aran, I love the shot of the street and the homes. So real, I can feel the sun and shade. :o) What lens did you use?
Kara- thank you very much. i used the canon 50mm 1.4, which is great for traveling because it’s so light and small.
Thank you so much guys!
Aran, which are the best places for foodies in NY? Which do you like most?
Camila- So many. Hard to tell. I’m really not the best person to ask. I have visited the city quite a bit and all the places where I have dined have been great but I’m probably not the most knowledgeable. Are you visiting soon? Sorry….
Thanks guys!
You make me miss NY. I lived in Manhattan and brooklyn during graduate school. I have wonderful memories of that time and your phots make them come back to life. I need to get back there!

Aran, I first saw your bog via Deb’s… I’m not generally into food blogs, but I think your photographs are fantastic – you capture this warmth about life… and in people’s faces… Anyway. Just thought I’d stop by and say so in your own blog. :) I have really enjoyed looking through past posts just now…
All my best,
-maria
